Rwanda Education Board Releases Evaluation Schedule for School Leaders Full List of Names and Assigned Locations The Rwanda Basic Education Board (REB) has announced a nationwide evaluation exercise for school heads and deputy heads, in line with the Ministerial Order No. 033/03 dated November 12, 2024. This directive mandates the assessment of the performance and professional competence of school administrators.
The evaluation will focus on both primary and secondary school leaders and will be conducted in partnership with the Rwanda TVET Board (RTB). The primary aim is to promote accountability, enhance performance, and ensure quality education through strengthened school leadership.
A previous letter, Ref. No. 4420/REB/05/2025 dated June 14, 2025, had informed districts about this assessment. The exercise will require all school heads and their deputies to participate in a written examination designed to evaluate their knowledge and skills. District leaders are now requested to ensure that all eligible school leaders take part.
The scheduled assessment will be conducted from July 21 to July 30, 2025, and will be held at designated centers across the country. All candidates are required to bring a valid national ID and earphones for the test. A sample test format and relevant study resources will be made available on the official REB website: www.reb.rw.
